Itinerary
Day: 01: Cochin -
Kumarakom (89kms/2.5Hrs)
On arrival at Cochin airport /
Ernakulam Railway station, our representative will transfer you
to the Resort. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little
islands on the Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part
of the Kuttanad region. The land of lakes, canals and paddy
fields, Kumarakom transports you to sheer ecstasy. On arrival at
Kumarakom visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary ( famous for
migratory and local birds ) and later check in at the Resort.
Day: 02: Kumarakom - Alleppey (30Kms/45Min)
At 12:00 hrs check in at houseboat. Start Cruise and reach Lake,
anchor and have lunch. Start Cruise again and reach Champakulam
. Stop over visit Champakulam Snake boat, church, village and
market and cruise starts again, reach Kanjipadam , anchor for
night. Next morning after breakfast cruise back to Alleppey and
reach jetty by 9:00 AM. Houseboat cruise is the best way to
explore the beauty of backwaters. Cruising along the backwaters
of Kerala is an unforgettable experience. Rest of the day at
leisure on the House Boat.
Day: 03: Departure from Cochin
Check out from the Houseboat and you will be driven back to
Cochin International Airport/ Railway station with wonderful
memories and realisation that it indeed is ?Gods own country?.
