Itinerary
Day: 01: Cochin - Munnar (157Kms/4Hrs)
On arrival at Cochin airport / Ernakulam Railway station,
our representative will transfer you to the Munnar Resort. , on
the way you can see vallara and cheeyappara water falls. Munnar
-The most sought destination with its impeccable beauty set at
an altitude of 6000 ft which covers tropical plantations-
pristine valleys and mountains ? exotic species of flora and
fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice
scented cool air - which leaves enchanting memories . On arrival
at Munnar check into Resort.
Day: 02: Munnar
Start the day with sightseeing in Munnar which include
Visits to Mattupetty -Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Lake,
Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary famous
for Nilagiri Tahr and Tea gardens . Night Stay in the Resort.
Day: 03:
Munnar - Periyar (120 Kms / 4 Hrs)
A scenic four hours drive from Munnar . An Enchanting Plantation
Town Thekkady, located in central Kerala, is a popular hill
station and wildlife reserves of India and spread across the
entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that
hold immense opportunities for treks and mountain walks. The
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary offers boating and good chance of
seeing the great Indian tiger in its natural
habitat. (Optional)Kathakali The traditional dance,Spice
plantation Tour and Ayurvedic massage. Night Stay in the Resort.
Day 04: periyar - Kumarakom (145 Kms / 4 Hrs)
The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the
Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part of the
Kuttanad region. The land of lakes, canals and paddy fields,
Kumarakom transports you to sheer ecstasy. On arrival at
Kumarakom visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary ( famous for
migratory and local birds ) and later check in at the Resort.
Day: 05: Kumarakom - Alleppey Houseboat (30Kms/45Min)
At 12:00 hrs check in at houseboat. Start Cruise and reach Lake,
anchor and have lunch. Start Cruise again and reach Champakulam.
Stop over visit Champakulam Snake boat, church, village and
market and cruise starts again, reach Kanjipadam, anchor for
night. Next morning after breakfast cruise back to Alleppey and
reach jetty by 9:00 AM. Houseboat cruise is the best way to
explore the beauty of backwaters. Cruising along the backwaters
of Kerala is an unforgettable experience. Rest of the day at
leisure on the House Boat.
Day: 06: Houseboat - Kovalam (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs)
Drive to Kovalam on arrival in Kovalam, check in at a beach
resort. Rest of the day to relax at the beach or indulge in
Ayurvedic massages. Kovalam is a sheltered bay endowed with
unusual beauty, located on the magnificent Arabian Sea coast.
This natural bay is a safe sea-pool, free from high waves and
surges. The 30 kms drive from the Thiruvananthapuram airport to
the beach through groves of palms is refreshing. It is an ideal
place to swim, sunbathe and perhaps enjoy the ancient rites of
an Ayurvedic massage and oil bath.
Day: 07: Trivandrum Sightseeing
Start the full day sight seeing in Thiruvananthapuram (capital of
Kerala) at 0900 Hrs. Visit: The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika
Museum, Sri Padmanabha Temple afternoon relax on the beach
.Night stay in the Resort.
Day: 08: Departure
Check out from the Hotel and you will be driven back to
Thiruvananthapuram Airport/ Railway station with wonderful memories
and realisation that it indeed is ?Gods own country?.
